Burn Antares – By My Side

Burn Antares is unapologetic about their devotion to late 60’s early 70’s rock. It’s a refreshing bit of retro that is nonetheless, as much about today’s sound as it is about yesterday’s. You may remember Burn Antares from the review for Man’s Eye from their 2013 debut release about a year ago. Crystal Bowersox – Dead Weight

Armed with a powerful (and I mean powerful) set of vocal chops that can rip the rafters wide open or soothe the souls most painful moments, Crystal Bowersox is a vocal force to be reckoned with. Lunatic Wolf – The Tallest Tree

Lunatic Wolf was formed in 2012 in Johannesburg South Africa. This folk rock band’s songs are beautiful compositions. Take The Tallest Tree from their debut long-player To The Adventure (November 2014) as just one example. Purple Crayon – After You

Purple Crayon weaves wonderful, dreamy soul music, with masterful instrumentation, the supreme lead vocals of the minimally histrionic Teira Church and delightful songwriting of Ted Case. It’s a match made in jazz/soul heaven as witnessed here on After You from their self-titled debut long-player released at the end of last year (December 2014).  For now, your best bet to find more information on the band is to visit their Facebook page. You can pick up the debut long-player at their Bandcamp site. Check out…
