Sweet Crude – Little Darling

Sweet Crude, is an seven-piece Louisiana drum-pop band that alternates between English and Louisianan French lyrics, represents full on energy and most of all, fun!  The band recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to help fund their first long-player. The music speaks for itself and there is some available for you while you wait for that long-player. Back in 2013 the band released a five-song EP, Super Vilaine, full of that rhythm based high energy. Little Darling (seen / heard here) is from that…

The Oh Hellos – Dear Wormwood

I’ve been following the alternately plaintive and raucous alt-folk compositions of The Oh Hellos for some time now.  They have a cohesive, textural, yet simple sound that always pleases. Folly & The Hunter – Awake

NOTE: The original video stopped working. It appears to have been pulled by the band.  No explanation that I know of. This is a replacement for that video. – Vodka Folly and The Hunter are a great indie-pop band.  My only complaint is that there is no biographical information out there on the band.  Even though the band has a great web site, which includes musical purchase options, tour schedule and more, there is no bio information up there. The closest thing…

Violette feat. Louis Cato – Falling Strong

A few weeks back, Vodka featured Violette and All My Life, from her latest long-player, Falling Strong (February 2015). Here, again, is Violette from that same long-player with the title-track, joined by Louis Cato, best known as a multi-instrumentalist, but proving here that he also has great soul vocal chops of his own. If you have not as yet checked out Violette, get over to her web site now! (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)
