The Black Feathers – Holy Water

The Black Feathers have been a Vodka favorite for a while now, and if you have not as yet added them to your collection, it is high time that you did. Before our look into Holy Water (September 2017), here’s a look back: You Will Be Mine – Posted May 2013 All For You – posted May 2016 Enter Holy Water, a single released after a performance in the chapel of a rehab facility in Nashville, TN. Pale Lights – Jean, Bring The Flowers

Pale Lights’ music is a bit of retro loveliness! Jean, Bring The Flowers is from the band’s very latest EP of the same name (November 2017) and also included on the band’s brand new long-player, The Stars Seem Brighter (December 2017) that is just full of more spot-on jangly goodness!  Musically, the band reminds me of The Bats, but only in the jangle-pop style. Sinnober – When A Knight Won His Spurs

Sinnober is one of Vodka’s favorite duos. They generally make very carefully crafted pop songs. They are reported to be working on a new long-player which had a target release date sometime in 2017. My guess is that it will be 2018 now (since it is 2018), but whenever it comes, you can be sure that it will be excellent. Won’t some wise mass media recognize this phenomenal duo with some airplay? (Serious XM, are you listening?). Here, the duo covers When A Knight Won…

Bud – City Bird

Note: The original video is no longer available. Here is an audio-only version:  Infectious, rhythmic, and talented, UK singer/songwriter Bud makes clear her intention to be heard above the noise in the music world – And so she should, given her vocal chops and melody mastering seen and heard here on City Bird, the title track of her April 2017 EP.  Bud is just getting started and for that reason, there isn’t a ton of information out there. You can get a bit of information…
