Peridot – Fleeting

Vodka re-discovered Hillary Reynolds and Peridot back in April of last year, with a review for Tightrope. Peridot is back with a wonderful single that will leave you awe-struck. A song about how quick life is and how much we need to embrace it, Fleeting (seen/heard here) is at once beautiful and inspiring. Hillary’s vocals ring with the sincerity of strong belief, massaging the listener into willing submission instead of hitting them with a brick. Big Little Lions – Here We Go Again

Last night, Vodka had the pleasure of sitting in on a local house concert here in Nebraska. Molly Linen – ‘Away’

Molly Linen has just released Outside (October 2019), a five-track debut EP of thoughtful, breathy, folk-pop, and it is immediately a winner. The video for Away (seen/heard here) is definitely a low-budget affair, but the music wins out right away, and that’s what we are here for, right? The EP opener, When They Didn’t Care, sets the stage for everything that comes after. Its delicious minor key beginnings resolve into a beautiful refrain. This may be only five tracks long, but it is full of Molly Linen’s potential. There’s not…
