Intro To Music Theory – It’s An Attitude
Instrumental music does not play a huge part on Vodka. Not unless it really stands out as something different and fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love instrumental music, but it has to be really something special to appear here. Enter Intro To Music Theory, and It’s An Attitude (heard here). I love this funky little bit of fun! Not only is it easy to dance to (Yeah, go ahead. Try to quit moving your feet and your head. I dare you!) but it is not just straight-up technology creating this music, it’s actual musicianship as well.
Intro To Music Theory is made up of trumpet and trombone players Matthew Busch and Matt Waters, who are also DJs, and producers. While they are Southern California natives, they both moved to Haiku, China in 2017. They create a blend of funk, disco, and jazz, which is incredible. It’s An Attitude, introduces spoken word in the middle section. It’s understated and adds texture here. The production qualities are high-fidelity, but everything is mixed and balanced in a way that does not overshadow the instruments.

Note: There is a reason to be cautiously optimistic about the trajectory of the COVID 19 virus. We’ve been here before and were turned back by the variants. Even with things improving, artists such as Intro To Music Theory could still use your purchases. If your situation allows it, consider purchasing more in these tough times. Please, if you are physically able to do so, get vaccinated. — Vodka
