Young Guv has a feel like an updated late 60′s/early 70′s rock band. It’s slightly retro, but still very much accessible to the here and now. Luv Always (seen/heard here) is an example of that formula. Full of playful guitar licks with a catchy melody, Luv Always is the sort of song that will have you singing to yourself in no time.

Just as the band was to embark on a tour this year, it was abruptly canceled due to the Covid 19 virus. They had the foresight to record the concert that was to launch their tour, Live In LA (April 2020), and they are donating all of the proceeds of the sale of this long-player to out-of-work musicians and helpers. Luv Always appears on that live LP. 

Young Guv released their first long-player back in 2015, Ripe 4 Luv, and have had a steady flow of EP’s, singles and long-players since. You can find more information on the band by heading up to their website, which isn’t a great site, but is a placeholder for other links, video, and tour dates, should things ever open up again. There is no band biography available that I can find.
