Vodka Austin Favorite: Baby Rose has a voice that will knock your socks off. She was due to play at the canceled SXSW event this year, and you can definitely hear why she would be a great performer to go see live. That rich soulful voice is riveting, full of natural vibrato and honest emotion. Accompanied here by what I like to call a muted broken piano sound, Baby Rose has plenty of space to evoke the raw emotion of All To Myself. This track comes from her August 2019 long-player, To Myself, a ten-track study in R&B and Soul that is full of beats and strange musical twists, but always, always, front and center is that voice. 

There are a couple of problems with the Baby Rose website, that need fixing. For instance, the bio is mostly a promo, not a whole lot of background information on the artist. Second, both the Google Play and Amazon Music links just redirect back to the website. Amazon’s link is definitely available here or at least that will get you to the stream for To Myself. Otherwise, the website is pretty decent, giving you most of the things you need (tour dates and social links of course).
