Jenn and Laura-Beth have just released their first long-player, Bound (September 2016) of traditional and contemporary folk styling featuring their dueling well-paired vocals, guitar, and mandolin. Shine, heard and seen here is featured on that LP along with 10 other tracks. Their bandcamp.com site will only get you a couple of tracks to sample-including this one, but a scouring of Youtube.com will get you a few more tracks to give you a feel for the rest of the LP.  Shine is vaguely reminiscent of a track from years ago by Darol Anger and The Barbara Higbie Quintet called Near Northern. It has that same uplifting, fast-paced feel.

Both Jenn Butterworth and Laura-Beth Salter have been a force in the Scottish folk-music scene for years. Coming together as a duo has been ongoing for several years but is set in stone here with the release of Bound.
