Blog Posting Changes

The last few months have been difficult. Scouring my sources for music that “Isn’t the same old thing-mostly,” has become a real chore. I cannot count the number of times I’ve clicked on a track on Bandcamp, Band Soup or Reverbnation, only to listen to a few seconds of  the track and hear the same tired introductory chords, or to get past the introduction to the vocal only to find a simple mimic of another artist. Some of the foreign lands have helped keep me in tracks, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, but the sum total is, that I’m having to scrounge to make my every other day posts. 

One thing that I don’t want to do is simply post something to be posting it. It got really close to that here at the end of 2013. So to maintain what I hope is a good and diverse collection of songs for 2014, I’m shifting the posts to once per week. I haven’t settled on a day yet, but it will probably be mid-week, likely Wednesday. 

I’d like to thank you all for your posts, likes and reblogs throughout the last two years. In that time there have been 376 posts-mostly music-appearing every other day. 

Best Of Vodka 2013

I’ve been searching through the posts from the last year and getting your notes compiled. The listing of the top 40 tracks for 2013 will post at the very beginning of 2014. This unscientific method of garnering the best tracks, includes your likes, and reblogs as well as tracks that float to the top for me.
