The Cinematic, from Aucklund, New Zealand, weave lush landscapes of orchestral pop-rock. That is evident from the first single from the bands new self-titled EP (free from bandcamp.com), Home. The tenor vocal (it’s a mystery who the band mates are!), is soaring and beautiful. There are a lot of instruments in use here, and all are played well adding texture and drive to the vocal delivery.
