Waiting For Smith – Lines of Love

Waiting For Smith (Harry Lloyd) makes his second appearance on Vodka with the wonderful pop encouragement song, Lines Of Love. When we doubt, when we are lost, when we just don’t know, just having someone to talk to can make all the difference, and Lines Of Love takes you there. This is instant therapy for the soul, all propped up with a bouncy melody that lifts the spirit. Waiting For Smith binds this up-beat melody, with all of those feelings in the lyric, taking the negatives and turning them positive, by saying simply, “Please hold on”:

“Thinking about what you said the other day,
The way I act the things I do, how I behave
Would I be here if you hadn’t walked my way
Well I guess I’ll never know

It’s often difficult to over speculate
One minute your up and then your down
and that’s your day
It will be alright, it’ll be just fine, It will be ok
But I guess we’ll never know

Please hold on
to my,
Lines of love, they are strong
And I promise
That It won’t be too long now
Before we
Have our house, down by the sea in the sun,

And just like that, you want to “hold on”, to believe that things will get better and that the world will right itself. It’s part hope and part promise, but we are carried with it and are sold by it, we believe!

The video takes its queue from the lyrics, with dreamy sketches, pencil perhaps, or colored pencil, that combine a little of the lyric within the video content and enough imagery to carry the lyric’s meaning. It’s the full package once again from an artist who absolutely exhumes positivism with every note and sung phrase.

You can find more information on Waiting For Smith by heading up to his website, complete with all of the social links required. There’s still no physical content for sale (none that I could find), so stream his tunes on Spotify so that he can get the revenue from that, or purchase his music track by track by searching carefully on Amazon or hitting up Apple Music

If you are still among the uninitiated, check out Waiting For Smith now, and rejoice!

Note: With Covid-19 still around, probably to be with us for some time, artists like Waiting For Smith and many others need your purchases to keep their heads above water. If your situation allows it, consider purchasing more in these tough times. –Vodka
