A quirky mixture of styles has always been King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s claim to fame, and they have done alright for themselves doing just that. Fishing For Fishies (seen/heard here) is the title track to the band’s latest (April 2019) long-player, and as always, the band does not disappoint. If you are looking for a group that takes themselves seriously, then you would be off the mark here, but the group is very accessible and fun and that’s the best part of listening to music!

Prolific in their composition skills, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have released nearly 2 full-length long-players per year since 2011. That’s a lot of material and a lot of fun. Basically, a garage band with their fingers in everything from pop to metal to progressive rock, listening to a single offering is like dipping your toes in everything all at once. You’d think that with the number of songs written or the different styles, things would begin to sound stale; But their ability to pull off a fresh collection every few months doesn’t seem to dampen the quality at all.
