Civilian – Should This Noose Unloosen

Original video no longer available. Here’s an audio-only version: The title track to Civilian’s 2012 long-player, Should This Noose Unloosen, is a plaintive, expressive bit of musical poetry. This four-piece band combines folk storytelling chops within an indie-pop framework in a way that works quite well.   You can find out more information on Civilian by visiting their website.  Check out this fine indie-pop band.  If you are in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area, try to catch the band live.        (Source: http://civiliansounds.com/ )

There is a certain love for the past that is echoed in Freeman Dre’s song writing and in their video productions as well….

Together they make beautiful music. Here on Steinbeck’s Guitar from their 2009 long-player Suburban Tales, they tell the story about a guitar player which pulls the sadness from those around by telling stories from afar.
