Chris Brain – Golden Days

You should recognize the voice of Chris Brain. His music and voice distinctly resemble Nick Drake, as I noted a little over a year ago in the review for Bound To Rise found here. It’s eerie and magnificent too. It is almost like Nick Drake’s song One Of These Things First in action, except perhaps just reincarnated as Chris Brain! Warehouse of Thieves – Home Now

Warehouse of Thieves Home Now (seen/heard here) is a beautiful song that is warm, cozy like a warm blanket on a cold winter night. Daniel Niehoff – Civil War Letters – House Concert Review

Hominy Valley (seen/heard here) is the first single released ahead of the LP and it is quite a teaser! The band has redefined bluegrass music in its own image for over two decades and still finds ways to make it sound fresh.  The group is instantly recognizable to many due to their close relationship and co-touring with comedian and banjoist Steve Martin. Hominy Valley…

Winners of the 2022 Folk Alliance Australia “Youth Artist of the Year” award, twin sister duo Oceanique (Maddy and Jess Houston) reminds Vodka of sister duo Lily & Madeleine that found their way to the Vodka platform back in 2013, or pop-folk duo First Aid Kit. They have beautiful voices, close harmonies, and wonderful stories to tell. Enter Heavy (seen/heard here) from the duo’s debut LP Would the Light Hold Me (March 29, 2023). The two have been releasing singles since at…
