Flagship Romance – Lemonade

The wonderful Flagship Romance duo released Lemonade from their Tales From The Self-Help Section long-player over a year ago now (August 2017). We didn’t post it back then, although we posted a couple of other tracks, Friends and Scare Yourself, and got a chance to see the duo perform live at a house concert here in Nebraska.  That said, we have been covering Flagship Romance since the beginning, so it should come as no surprise that we continue to support their work.  So why a video for a song from over…

Hafdis Huld – Take Me Dancing

Every once in a while, Vodka discovers an unlit corner of the music industry that has been out there for a while pounding out some great music. Enter the latest addition to found greatness, Iceland’s Hafdis Huld, who has been making great music as a solo artist since 2006-going even further back (1995) as a collaborating artist. Take Me Dancing (seen/heard here) is from Hafdis’ 2017 long-player, Dare To Dream Small, and continues a theme of sorts that has developed over the last few months for me highlighting music…

Sinnober – Successful

Vodka announced the release of Projection (October 2018), the latest release from the great pop duo, Sinnober, back in August, with the first single from the new long-player, Angels Of Fire And Snow.  That long player should be out by the time you read this, which means you should immediately head up to Sinnober’s bandcamp.com page and pick up a copy in your preferred medium. I’m perhaps even more excited by this long-player because of the diversity of the tunes that have been released thus far, which include this jazzy…

Luana Maso – Let The Rain

You may remember Luana Maso from Vodka’s review of the first single from her LP, Down The Rabbit Hole (April 2017),  Legends, that we posted about 10 months back. Well here is the second single off of that great LP, Let The Rain, another straight-up pop song done beautifully by the Italian songstress. As with Legend, Let The Rain is again about love and loss, and the search for balance within relationships. If Luana’s songs are truthfully about her own life experiences, it is terribly sad. One…

Big Little Lions – Find Your Tribe

Five years ago and change, Vodka posted a wonderful one-off by singer/songwriter Helen Austin, called Perfect Girl. Just recently, I took a trip back through the archives, landed on that track, and wondered what happened to Helen. Thankfully, she is still out there, making music, as part of a duo now called Big Little Lions. Enter Find Your Tribe (seen/heard here), the lead-off single to that wonderful new collection of songs titled Alive And Well (February 2018). Paul Otten, a singer/songwriter in his own right, joins…
