26fix – Stone Killer

Out of Utah, and making her Vodka debut, is 26fix, the moniker for music creator, singer, and performer, formerly of the band Brothers, Erica Goodwin. Releasing a handful of singles since 2021 when Brothers split, 26fix has an EPs worth of dance-friendly wonders, that will have you cocking your head to listen more closely while you dance. Marco Dalla Villa – Wonderful Days

A London-based DJ and producer from Italy, Marco Dalla Villa, doesn’t take himself too seriously. Zaki Ibrahim – Cut Loose

Steeped in multi-genre influences, Zaki Ibrahim is a force of musical nature that refuses to be denied. As comfortable on the dance floor as in the living room, and as important as it is entertaining, the music that Zaki Ibrahim creates is moving on all levels.  Enter Cut Loose, from Ibrahim’s latest (March 2021) LP, The Secret Life Of Plants. Elements of 70′s styled R&B and pop are everywhere, and yet this is a modern offering, not a retro affair. What those influences contribute, so, too, do modern…

Tommy Newport – Yellow Lines

Tommy Newport, combines a touch of spoken word, with a great little rock / R&B tune, layered with beats and an infectious melody on Yellow Line (seen/heard here). My only complaint with this one is that it could have lasted a bit longer than the 2 minutes and change it takes to listen. That said, the music doesn’t wear thin either.  There’s nothing groundbreaking about this track, it’s simply quite good, and there’s nothing wrong with that! As you listen, see if you can avoid tapping your foot or…

The Fearless Flyers – Ace of Aces

Funky, fun, and fabulous, The Fearless Flyers prove that lyrics aren’t necessary when you are _this_ good at your instruments!  Ace of Aces is from the band’s March 23, 2018, self-titled six-song debut EP. The band shares composition duties while baritone guitarist and guitarist Cory Wong acts as producer for the group. Laying down the phenomenal beat is Nate Smith who is flat-out perfect on Ace of Aces. The rest of the band made up of Joe Dart on bass and Mark Lettieri (of Snarky Puppy) on baritone…
